Our brand new feature the Supplier Database is a huge repository of suppliers that provides important information about their services and products so you can make the best decision when contacting manufacturers to source your product.
There are three ways you can do a search on the Database, by: Product, Company and Supplier. Let's explore the information you will see displayed for each of them!
Search by Product
When doing a search by Product you will have the option to set some filters after your first search. You can filter by the Country of origin by clicking the dropdown menu and choosing the countries there, add a minimum and maximum of Total Shipments as well as a minimum or maximum of Total Customers.
The results will show a list of the suppliers that source that specific product. They will be sorted by the highest percentage match score based on your search term, which means you will normally see the suppliers that match 100% the product search at the very top. (If you want to know more about how the Match score is calculated, you can read this article.)
On top of the match score, you will have the manufacturer name and below that, you can see their physical address. If you like what you see so far, you can click the Search for Contact Info button, a Google search will open in a new tab to verify and look for the company's online contact information.
Below you have more important details such as the Total Shipments the company has made into the United States since then, the Total Customers they have shipped to inside the United States and a list of the Top Customers they ship to. This data goes back as far as January 1, 2015.
The Manufactured Products graph will show you what type of items they manage on their catalog and you can see what are the products they ship or handle the most.
If you click the > View More option, it will display the supplier's entire Shipment History per month, you can hover over the graph to see the detailed information by month or check the Shipment Information chart. This includes and can be sorted by the following: Date, Buyer Name, Description, HS Code, Weight (kg), and Quantity.
The system will display 10 results per page and you can move through these by clicking on the arrows above.
