All Jump Send Seller features are moving to Jungle Scout and will be found under the new Jungle Scout feature set called 'Launch'. Launch will include both Promotions and Email Campaigns.
Along with the new feature set name, the other big change will be accessing these features from Jungle Scout instead of Jump Send. Jump Send will now only be for shoppers to access your deals and promotions.
There are also a bunch of other updates and upgrades to both Promotions and Email Campaigns that will take effect when Launch is available in Jungle Scout on May 22nd. Read more about these updates here:
Access to more features
If you don't already have a Jungle Scout account you will now have access to all of Jungle Scout's features in addition to all of the Launch features. We have a bunch of other helpful things to add to the app in the next few months and every new addition will be automatically included in your plan and account. Not familiar with Jungle Scout? Menus, button placement and functions
Actions menu replaces 'Archive' and 'Save as draft' buttons
There is a new Actions dropdown menu at the top of Promotions page which will be where you can access all actions such as Archive and Save as draft functions they were previously shown as buttons and located near the bottom of the page.
The 'Update' button was previously located at the bottom of the page. It has now moved to the top next to the Actions menu:
To access your account settings in Jungle Scout you can select the 'Settings' option from the left-hand navigation or from the top right corner similar to what you are used to from Jump Send.
There are 5 sections within the Settings menu: Account Information, Billing Information, Subscriptions, Notifications and Amazon Settings. This is where you will manage all account related data.
The previous Products page will be the same as the Product Settings section in Jungle Scout and can be found on the left-hand navigation panel.
This is still where you will be able to toggle to activate and deactivate products. By default, all products will be active for use in Promotions and Email Campaigns but you always have the option to deactivate the ones you wish to hide. Product activation will still be done at the child level.
Email Campaigns created and managed at the marketplace level
Email campaigns will now be created and managed at the marketplace level. That means you can view your store settings individually for each of the markets you sell on, so you will have one view for US store, one for CA store, a different one for the UK and so on. Currently, in Jump Send Email Campaigns are created and managed at the account level which limits the amount of personalization you could do. We heard from a lot of you that the option to have different content for your customer's emails would be helpful so we made the change! This will allow you to really engage with your customers and speak their language, literally! Now you can set up email campaigns in different languages based on your customer's marketplace. Check this article with more information about How do Email Campaigns and Promotions work by individual marketplace?
Amazon account display names
In Jump Send since Email Campaigns were managed at the account level there was no need to name your Amazon Accounts. Now they will be managed at the marketplace level so if you have more than one Amazon account synced to your account you will likely want to label them so you can differentiate accounts. To learn how to name your Amazon accounts before the migration check out our Prepare for account migration article. To learn how to do this after the migration in your Jungle Scout account see How to add or edit your Amazon account names
Seller and Shopper accounts and sites will be separate
All seller functionality for creating and managing promotions will be done in the Jungle Scout app in the Launch section.
All deals will be displayed for shoppers on the existing Jump Send Deals site located at https://app.jumpsend.com/deals/
If you as a seller also used Jump Send to request deals you will need to create a separate shopper account after the seller functionality is moved to Jungle Scout.
Seller and Shopper accounts will no longer be combined and as a seller, you will not be able to request deals from your seller account.
When you access your new account for the first time you will see all your products are now active. The new Jungle Scout Seller plans are now based on the number of orders you receive on your Seller account, this means all your products will always remain active (unless manually deactivated) and you can run unlimited Promotions or Email Campaigns on any of them. Read more about how How does Product Activation work? here.
Keyword Targeted URLs
After careful consideration, we have removed the Keyword Targeted URL feature that was previously available in Jump Send. The feature allowed you to choose specific keywords to include in your URLs for promotions in the hopes it would increase rank for those words. We are always monitoring Amazon's reaction to different techniques and over the last few months we have seen Amazon react negatively to targeting like this as they deem it 'Rank Manipulation'. We will never offer a service that is non-compliant or close to being non-compliant with Amazon's terms of service so we decided to remove this feature altogether. Promotions will still work to increase your sales velocity which will continue to improve your rank regardless of which URL is used to access it.
Pricing and plans
Currently, Jump Send plans are self-assigned based on a product limit. This limit dictates how many products you can run Promotions and Email Campaigns for. Going forward, all plans will be based on the number of orders your Amazon account processes in a 30 day period. This is a good thing because it means you will be able to use all features and tools for EVERY product you sell! There will be an initial period after the migration for current Jump Send users before any changes to payments or plans will take effect. For more information on how plans and pricing will be structured please check this PDF about Plans, Billing, and Payments and our Migrating account data and plan or payment changes article.
Many Jungle Scout plans have the added benefit of allowing additional users to join your account. These sub-users are invited to join your account by you and use their own login credentials so there is no need to share login details such as passwords. This increases the security of your account and makes it easier for you to manage access.
*Note: Sub-user access will be limited during the beta period of Launch. Sub-users will not have access to any Launch features but will have access to all other Jungle Scout features. We expect to have sub-user access to all features updated during the beta period.
