Starting today, June 5th 2019 an important update was made to the Jungle Scout Chrome Extension. To continue using the extension you will need to accept new permissions.
It's a super easy process and will take less than a minute to complete.
Today, June 5th, 2019 you will notice an error icon instead of the JS icon when using your Chrome browser. The timing of when you will see the error icon will differ for all users. This timing is being dictated by Chrome and unfortunately, we have no control over when it will show up for you. It will be near the top right where your extension normally is and will look like this:
To accept the permissions and get back to using the extension follow these steps:
1. Click the ⚠️ icon in the top right corner of your Google Chrome browser to show the dropdown menu.
2. Click the first selection: "Jungle Scout is disabled".
3. A small popup window will appear. Click "Accept permissions".
4. You will then be directed to the Jungle Scout login page. Enter your user name and password to log back in and use your Chrome Extension as usual.
Q: Why don't I see the ⚠️ icon yet?
A: The timing of when you will see the ⚠️ icon will differ for each user. This timing is being dictated by Chrome and unfortunately, we have no control over when Chrome will push the update to you. It will show up for all users sometime today June 5th, 2019.
Q: Why are we making this change?
A: We switched service providers to increase performance and scalability. This will better your experience when using the Chrome Extension.
Q: What are the new permissions you are accepting?
A: You are agreeing to connect to the new service provider.
