Keyword Scout

Keyword Scout is a comprehensive Amazon keyword research tool that helps you discover high-converting keywords and provides direct insights on which keywords your competitors are ranking for.

Keyword Scout is fully supported on the Brand Owner (or Professional) plan with an unlimited number of searches. If you're on a Starter subscription, you can run up to 50 searches per month, and with the Growth Accelerator plan, you will get 250 searches per month.

Keyword Scout supports Amazon.com (US), Amazon. MX (Mexico), Amazon.ca (Canada), Amazon.co.jp (Japan), Amazon.in (India), and European marketplaces, including Amazon.co.uk (UK), Amazon.de (Germany), Amazon.it (Italy), Amazon.es (Spain), and Amazon.fr (France). Each marketplace will have different keyword data, allowing you to better target your customer base.

There are a few ways to use Keyword Scout for your research: keyword, reverse, and multi-ASIN.

1. Keyword searches

    • From the left-hand navigation panel, click Keyword Optimization and then Keyword Scout
    • Enter a keyword in the search field
    • Choose your marketplace from the dropdown
    • Click Search

2. Reverse searches

  • From the left-hand navigation panel, click Keyword Optimization and then Keyword Scout
  • Enter an ASIN in the search field
  • Choose your marketplace from the dropdown
  • Click Search

3. Multi-ASIN searches

  • From the left-hand navigation panel, click Keyword Optimization and then Keyword Scout
  • Enter 10 ASINs in the search field, separated by commas
  • Choose your marketplace from the dropdown
  • Click Search

When positioning the cursor inside the search box, you can see your recent and saved searches.

Below are the additional features of Keyword Scout:

  • Search Preview: You'll see this option for a single or Multi-ASIN search. This will show you the ASIN(s), the listings' main image, plus the "Search on Amazon" button (this option is also available directly from the results table by clicking on the Amazon icon next to the keyword).

  • Historical Search Volume: Analyze how keywords have performed in the past and see monthly and quarterly trend data. You can use this information to generate a complete picture of a product’s seasonality and popularity over time, adjust your PPC campaigns, and optimize your listings accordingly. To see a keyword's historical search volume, hover over the specific keyword and click on it to expand the graph:
  • Keyword Lists: Create lists or add keywords to existing ones. Select the keyword(s) you want to include in your list and click the ⊕ Add Keyword to List button. You can select whether to add your keyword(s) to an existing list or create a new one. You can review and edit this information in the Keyword Lists section anytime.

  • Download CSV: You can export the resulting keywords as a CSV file by clicking the Download CSV file button.
